Demi Lovato is in celebratory mode as her new album has just been released. To mark the joyous occasion, the singer got another tattoo.

The “Heart Attack” singer’s latest tattoo reads “now I’m a warrior,” and it’s a lyric from one of the songs off of her new album Demi. This marks her 12th tattoo.

The tattoo was inspired by her song “Warrior,” and she explained the significance of the song to Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.

She explained, "I have a song on my album called 'Warrior,' and it's a very, very meaningful song to me. It's really heavy, the lyrics, but it's an inspirational song as well. It's a negative thing turned positive. And I've been through a lot and I'm really really honest on this album. This was a song that was very difficult for me to write, record and now release. It was kind of like a tribute to releasing an album, as well as overcoming some really, really difficult things in my life,” LA Times reports.

In the song, Lovato, 20, sings "I've got shame, I've got scars that I'll never show/ I'm a survivor in more ways than you know."

Lovato has been extremely open about her struggles with an eating disorder, and drug and alcohol abuse. When she got out of rehab, she inked her wrists with the words “Stay” and “Strong” to serve as constant reminders to her journey.

MTV News notes her first tattoo that she got was a flock of birds located on her forearm.
