Demi Lovato is gushing about her good friend, Selena Gomez, opening up about their longtime friendship in a recent Live from MTV special. The two met on the set of Barney &Friends in 2002 and have been friends ever since, even though they hit a rough spot along the way.
The “Heart Attack” singer, who has confirmed she’s coming back to judge another season of X Factor, said that Gomez has a “great soul.”
“We've been through a lot together, we've had periods of times we here we grew apart and we just didn't really talk," she told MTV News.
She added, "Now we are in a place where I think we realized that life is so short and that when you have people in your life that love you so much then, you should just always be around them.”
Lovato then opened up about the recent news Gomez shared that her mother is pregnant, saying, “She's going to be a big sister, and I want to be around for that. Everything about her, she has a great soul, she's talented, she's beautiful, and she will always be really, really close to my heart."
