The-not-so secret is out. While fans were congratulating Diddy on Twitter last night for his “new role” in Downton Abbey, it turns out the rapper wasn't too far off. While fans were excited to see Diddy take on a role in the PBS series, it turns out his role as Lord Wolcott was actually for a spoof in Funny or Die.

The “I'll Do This for You” singer caused a stir on Twitter Wednesday promising to make a big announcement. “MY BIG NEWS: So happy to announce that Im a series regular on DOWNTON ABBEY-my favorite show i'll be debuting a sneak peek tonight 12am PST!” he tweeted at the time.

Diddy followed with an Instagram shot of him on set, but things got confusing when PBS denied the rappers claims. Diddy continued to post additional photos and rave about his time.

According to E! News, the Funny or Die spoof hit the internet with a special clip entitled Downton Diddy.
Diddy professes his love for all the characters, “I'm Lord Wolcott, and I love everybody!” The rapper's vodka brand, Ciroc, even makes a debut in the skit.
