What seems like the “mantertainment” channel Spike, Fox is bringing on new shows focusing on young men in this year’s fall TV line-up including male-centered comedies and a new sci-fi show.

After a 20 percent ratings decline, Fox wants to reach out to a large demographic by placing men as central characters and bringing in some big names, according to USAToday.com.

According to LATimes.com, Fox is taking the traditional route by adding nine new sitcoms and dramas.

While shows like Glee and The Mindy Project are sticking around, news shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, featuring previous Saturday Night Live cast member Andy Samberg and, and J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi thriller, Almost Human aim to appeal to a male demographic.

Fox Entertainment chairmen Kevin Reilly said of the network, “We’re making the biggest investment in original programming in our history to ensure that Fox continues to engage viewers and move the culture more than any other entertainment brand.”
