George Michael was injured as a result of a car crash in England on Thursday night, and the driver of the vehicle had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The crash occurred on the M1 in St Albans, Hertfordshire around 5:50pm on Thursday and his agent confirmed the injuries.
Connie Filippello confirmed, as The Daily Mail reports, “George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening, no third party was involved. He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine. We have no further comment at this time.”
Gary Sanderson, a spokesperson for the ambulance that transported the driver of the car to a trauma center, told the Haringey Independent newspaper, “A man who we believe to be in his 40s sustained a head injury and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to hospital for further care.”
Michael lost his driver’s license in 2010, and was banned from driving for 5 years after being crashing his car into building under the influence of marijuana, The BBC reports.
