British singer George Michael was involved in a minor car accident Friday and has since received medical treatment.

Daily Mail has posted a snapshot of the scene where Michael's Range Rover was involved in a single car accident on the M1 near St Albans, Hertfordshire. Medical officials were concerned about the singers well being and had his airlifted to a local hospital.

Connie Flippello, Michaels' spokeswoman, released a statement following the accident saying, “George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident, no third party was involved. He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine. We have no further comment at this time.”

The 49-year-old singer has since been released from the hospital.

Michael has endured a fair share of medical scares, Reuters notes. Michael previously cancelled his Austrailian tour after enduring “severe anxiety” following a bout with pnemonia in Vienna. Reuters notes that Michaels was in the ICU for a month battling the disease.
