Gwyneth Paltrow is taking her Goop site on the go. The Oscar winner and the World’s Most Beautiful Woman according to People magazine launched an app to guide her fans to the her favorite spots in New York, London and Los Angeles.
The Goop city guides app helps Goop readers find the underrated places that the site has featured in the past. Paltrow launched three individual apps for the three cities and future city apps will be available to buy in-app. Each city app costs $3.99 (£2.49).
According to E! News, the apps were announced at a “Meet the Developer” Q&A event at the SoHo Apple store in New York.
“I love to travel, I love to eat, I love to cook,” she said, explaining that the next logical step for Goop was to go mobile.
As USA Today notes, the session was relaxed and funny, with Jessica Seinfeld as host. Paltrow, who currently stars on the big screen in Iron Man 3, appeared to have fun with the audience. “I'm usually stoned, so this is weird,” she joked.
She also discussed her favorite apps, notes PopSugar. She loves Pinterest, iTranslate, Basecamp, Snapseed and Flight Tracker.
While Goop will soon be expanding its scope to other city apps, don’t expect one on how to get ready for a Met gala. She recently said that she found the event “so un-fun” and she vowed to never go again.
