Jennifer Lopez’s performance on Britain’s Got Talent in a revealing black leotard sparked outrage among its viewers, who widely commented on Twitter that it was too inappropriate for a primetime family program.
The 43-year-old pop star sung her latest hit, “Live It Up,” wearing a skimpy black leotard that barely covered her backside, according to Us Weekly.
The outfit consisted of a black snakeskin bodysuit, large furry sleeves, and thigh-high black boots—and had a very small amount of fabric between the legs.
"Could Jennifer Lopez's outfit be any more inappropriate for a family show??? What sort of role model are you being for the young girls watching?” wrote one Twitter user, according to NY Daily News.
Her provocative and raunchy dance has also drawn criticism. Another Twitter user chimed in, “Only thing missing was the pole.”
However, there was a pole involved, which J-Lo swung down in a fireman-esque manner at one point during the routine.
"If we consider the potential that the broadcasting code wasn't abided by, there is potential we would investigate. But it's too early to speculate,” commented an Ofcom spokesperson.
