Showtime’s hit series, Dexter, is currently in the midst of filming its eighth and final season. Based on a tweet by one of the show’s stars, Jennifer Carpenter, production is nearing the end, and she is none too happy about it.

Carpenter, who plays Debra Morgan, tweeted that she wanted to lock herself in her trailer so shooting could be prolonged.

“I am locking myself in my trailer. No! I'm locking Michael [C Hall] in HIS trailer,” she wrote. “If we keep shooting this show... it's going to end!!!”

Dexter’s final season is set to premiere June 30. A new season 8 teaser trailer was released this week in anticipation of the season premiere. It has a heavy focus on the deterioration of Carpenter’s character. As many fans already know, she was responsible for the death of her friend and colleague, Maria LaGuerta, who she shot and killed in order to protect her brother, Dexter Morgan, at the end of season 7. LaGuerta was close to exposing Dexter as a serial killer.
