Justin Bieber has officially relinquished ownership of his pet monkey Mally, who was taken away from him in Germany because he didn’t have the proper paperwork for its vaccinations.

The monkey was taken from him on March 28 when he landed in Munich for his Believe tour. He had a deadline of this past Friday to produce the papers or the monkey would be officially given to Germany.

Customs spokesman Thomas Meister confirmed that they haven’t received any documents from Bieber or his entourage, The Mirror reports.

The “Beauty and a Beat” singer, 19, does, however, have six weeks to repeal Mally’s transfer of ownership. Since being quarantined, Mally has been taken care of by an animal shelter in Munich.

Fox News notes that Mally is a capuchin monkey, and the exact home for him isn’t determined at this time.

Meanwhile, Bieber attended the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night, where he picked up three awards. But when he was accepting the last award of the night he got booed.
