Justin Bieber has released a cryptic tweet Monday evening stating that he is going to “take some time.”

Although attending the Billboard Music Awards alongside rumored on-again girlfriend Selena Gomez where he received a handful of awards, the 19-year-old singer had a less than stellar night as he was booed during his acceptance speech. Bieber demanded to be “taken seriously” he was ultimately booed even more.

Since posting the cryptic tweet hours ago, Bieber has remained social-media silent. He has yet to further divulge what exactly happened that has caused him to take some time for himself.

As we previously reported, Bieber was spotted alongside his “Come & Get It” love at Cirque du Solei's Love prior to the Billboard Awards ceremony.

Gomez and Bieber were spotted kissing on the cheek and catching up on the red carpet, to the demis of Taylor Swift, Gomez's BFF who did not approve of the reunion. According to LA Times, a backstage camera caught a look of disgust and bordeom on the “22” singer's face as she walked away.

Bieber and Gomez have not confirmed their 'on-again' status.
