Kate Upton has already conquered Sports Illustrated, now the model is gracing the cover of Vogue’s June issue.
This marks the first Vogue cover for Upton, who reveals that a successful modeling career is “not what I set out to do.” Instead, she dreamed of having a lingerie line or being the face of a fashion campaign.
But nonetheless, her career in modeling is what launched her big screen career. Upton has appeared in the film The Three Stooges and Tower Heist so far, and she will appear in the upcoming The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann.
Just Jared notes that in the issue, Upton talks about those who have criticized her.
“The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change,” she explained. “I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great.”
She also talked about the involvement of social media in today’s world, saying “Growing up, I didn’t buy the magazines that had models on the covers, because I didn’t know them. So I think it kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with.”
