Following reports that American Idol producers plan to clean house after Thursday nights finale, current judge Keith Urban has come forward to state he hopes to keep his spot on the judging panel.

People reports that Urban was asked about his fate on the Fox singing competition to which he replied, "I would. I mean, I literally enjoy coming to work every day, and that's a rarity."

Urban's desire for a return comes on the heels of Randy Jackson's announcement that he would not return to the show after 12 seasons.

Earlier this week, a source confirmed thatNicki Minaj would also not be returning.

As we previously reported, an Idol insider revealed that production would fire Mariah Carey, Urban, Jackson and Minaj as well as executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

Reports suggest that Idol producers hope to clean house and bring back former judge Jennifer Lopez as well as other not-big names as a source notes, “No more big checks for divas.”
