Kelly Rowland broke down when performing the intimate song “Dirty Laundry” off of her new album Talk a Good Game recently, and she’s addressing both that and how Beyonce reacted when she first heard it.

The song reveals a past abusive relationship, and she also reveals her jealousy over her Destiny’s Child group member Beyonce.

During an interview with Washington’s 93.9 WKYS,, Rowland said she played the song for both Beyonce and Michelle Williams, and Beyonce “was just like 'I never left.' Which was so sweet. It was endearing. She heard how real I was and she was just like "I’m so proud of you."'

Contact Music reports that she also talked about getting emotional and crying on stage when she recently performed the song.

“It’s really weird when you take yourself in front of a crowd” she said. “Even in that moment of when I put my feet up, I felt like I was in therapy. I was singing and talking about what happened, and for a moment, it was like that crowd wasn’t even there. And then when the music stopped…I was like ‘You are live Kel. Calm down.’ And I had to calm down, and in the moment, I had to breathe. You get lost…and it’s nothing wrong with getting lost. But that was weird. That won’t happen again though [laughs]. I felt like I could do that with D.C.”
