Reality star Khloe Kardashian covers the June issue of Cosmopolitan UK, where she opens up about previous confidence issues and difficulties getting pregnant.

The 28-year-old told the magazine that although she has ultimately become a stronger person because of it, it has not always been easy being compared to her sisters, Kim and Kourtney.

"I’m confident in who I am. I’ve always known that I’m not Kim and I’m not Kourtney – I’ve always been OK with that… I probably thought I was prettier before I entered the spotlight because being compared to somebody else every day does sort of beat up your spirit and soul. But it’s made me stronger."

She revealed that her father's death when she was 19 took a toll on her weight, and it did not help that she was thrown into the spotlight right after. "I was quickly criticised for not being a cookie-cutter sister like Kourtney and Kim. I lost about 30lbs before I did Kourtney And Khloé Take Miami [in 2009]. I was feeling so good about myself and I was still so critiqued."

However, being the wife of Lamar Odom has had it's perks, Kardashian revealing that he has taught her to have more self control and helped her to learn what kinds of foods she should be eating.

Although the couple wants to have children, Khloe has had fertility struggles in the past. She told the magazine, “I just wanted to be, ‘Hey, let’s have a baby,’ and we would just have one. Kourtney did. And I wish that was the way for me. But it won’t be. I’ll have to take hormones."

Khloe's issue of Cosmopolitan UK is on stands May 2nd.
