Lindsay Lohan was recently admitted to the Betty Ford Center for rehab, but since the doctors want her to relinquish her supply of Adderall, the young star wishes to be released.
According to TMZ, doctors at the center took the drug because of its addictive qualities. Lohan claims to use the Adderall for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, but the doctors claim to have other medicines without the addictive side effects.
The New York Post reports that many celebrities use Adderall for weight control and that the doctors at the center may worry about Lohan's true intentions with the drug.
TMZ goes on to report that Lohan is requesting a transfer to an Adderall-friendly clinic. If Lohan is allowed to leave, the situation could pit the orders of the judge against the wishes of the doctors at the Betty Ford Center.
According to the New York Post, Lohan was sentenced to 90 days at the center. She began her stint of lock-down last week. It remains unclear how her sentence will be impacted if she leaves the clinic for one more accepting of her medication preferences.
