The Manti Te’o “Catfish” situation involving what ended up being a fake girlfriend was a big scandal last year. It’s still proving to make headlines as Maxim has named Te’o’s “fake girlfriend” in their annual Hot 100 list.
The magazine, who chose Miley Cyrus for their No. 1 spot, used only a picture to portray an “invisible girl.”
They described their choice, saying “After Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love. Why not? She's got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini.”
After Te’o got drafted to the San Diego Chargers, USA Today reports that those in the city are already making fun of the situation.
