Mariah Carey has fired her fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson as her manager, but neither she or Jackson have confirmed it themselves.
A source claims to E! News that the two had a “falling out” and have parted ways professionally.
Carey is now reportedly being managed by the same company who guides Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys and Faith Hill’s careers – Red Light Management.
Carey and Jackson started working together in the ‘90s, when he worked for Colombia and A&R Records. A source maintains “things are fine between them and they'll continue to work together but not [with Jackson] as a manager."
According to Showbiz411, the professional split is a result of their hectic schedules, not a falling out. Red Light also manages Dave Matthews and former Idol judge Steven Tyler just joined the agency as well.
Carey just released her new single earlier this week called “Beautiful” with Miguel.
The report of Carey and Jackson parting ways comes just as a report surfaces that Idol will drop all four judges next season.
