Mariska Hargitay will be returning for the fifteenth season of Law & Order:SVU.

Mariska Hargitay requested a lighter workload for the fourteenth season of NBC’s hit show Law & Order: SVU which led some fans to believe that Hargitay was being phased out to make room for a new crop of detectives on the show. However fans can breathe easy, Hargitay confirmed on her Twitter> account Saturday that she will be returning to the crime drama.

Hargitay has starred on the show since its premiere in 1999. Christopher Meloni, Hargitay’s partner on the show and male lead, left in 2011 to pursue other roles according to cinema blend. Dany Pino replaced Meloni as Hargitay’s partner on the NBC drama. Since his exit, Meloni has had a recurring role on HBO’s True Blood and has a supporting role in the summer film 42.
