Wade Robinson, the choreographer who gained attention earlier this month for accusing the late Michael Jackson of sexually abusing him, reportedly wants Jackson’s father Joe Jackson to stop talking about the case.
Last week, Joe told TMZ that he thinks Robson made the whole thing up and that he was paid to lie about it. The site reported today that Robson and his attorneys have filed a cease and desist letter to get Joe to stop sharing his conspiracy theories with the media.
“Your statement is particularly reprehensible in light of the fact that [Wade] has only recently been able to come forward which is so typically characteristic and tragic for so many survivors of sexual abuse,” the letter said, referencing Joe’s TMZ video. The attorneys claim that any more comments would be clearly “malicious.”
In conclusion they will “take any and all appropriate legal measures to vehemently protect the truth and commence legal action.”
Robson went public with his claims earlier this month, saying that he was molested by the “Thriller” singer between the ages of 7 and 14. The 30-year-old later told his story on the Today Show, saying that Jackson “performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him.”
Meanwhile, the Jackson estate is currently dealing with its wrongful death lawsuit against AEG, the tour promoter the family says was negligent by hiring Dr. Conrad Murray. The New York Daily News reports that Janet Jackson surprisingly showed up to hear testimony in Los Angeles today.
