Mike Tyson’s new show on Adult Swim is either going to be the funniest new show on the network or just leave audiences scratching their heads. The former champion boxer is going to voice a detective with a magic face tattoo and that isn’t even the weird part.
During its upfront presentation for advertisers Friday, Adult Swim announced Mike Tyson Mysteries, a 15-minute show from Warner Bros. Animation, notes The Hollywood Reporter. Tyson’s tattoo and a talking pidgeon help the boxer solve mysteries that include helping a werewolf finish his novel and beating a supercomputer at chess. The show will also include some live-action sequences with Tyson.
CinemaBlend reports that Adult Swim also announced Rick and Morty, a 30-minute animated series from Community creator Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. The show was ordered straight to series in October and features an inventor dealing with an indiot grandson.
Other 15-minute shows include My. Pickles (from Funny Or Die Presents Nick Swardson's Pretend Time’s Dave Stewart and Will Carsola) and King Star King (from Monsters Vs. Aliens’ JJ Villard). Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell is a 15-minute live action series from Squidbillies team Dave Willis and Casper Kelly. Hot Package is a 15-minute Canadian series that parodies E! News and Extra.
A second Robot Chicken DC Comics Special was announced, along with Metalocalpyse: The Doom Star Requiem.
