Not so fast, folks. Are Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth still together? Rumors that the on-again, off-again couple have not ended their engagement have been flying since Cyrus wore her engagement ring during a video shoot on Thursday in Los Angeles.

According to People Magazine, Cyrus, 20, has been spotted with and without her engagement ring during the tempestuous relationship but has been wearing it consistently for two weeks. A source told the magazine that Cyrus and Hemsworth, 23, "are still living together but have no wedding plans. They still need to work on their relationship, but after they decided to postpone the wedding, they are doing better. They feel less stress and less pressure now. Miley can focus on her music."

Hemworth previously approached famed jeweler Neil Lane with a request to produce the engagement ring. He asked for "something really beautiful and romantic," said Lane. Lane designed a 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring in 18-karat gold. The center stone is an antique that was hand-cut in the 19th century.

"It was hand-cut around 1880 or 1890, and it's unique and in its original form," stated Lane. "At that time no two diamonds were alike, as they were all hand-cut, so it's fascinating to look at because it hasn’t been re-cut to look contemporary over the years. I find that really romantic."

A source told E! Online that "it's been rocky" for Cyrus and Hemsworth, "but they're hanging in there."

Despite the fact that rumors of a troubled relationship have plagued the couple for months, they may be working things out after all. The engagement was originally announced in June 2012. Cyrus said at the time, "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."
