“Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” singer Miley Cyrus was a victim of swatting for the second time in less than one year.
TMZ reports that a 911 call came in just before nine by a woman claiming to be hiding in her closet from a shooter who was lose in her house. Cops rushed to the scene only to find that no such scene existed.
Cyrus was not at home at the time of the swatting.
In August, a prank caller phoned the police claiming almost the same scenario: an intruder was in the house and shots were fired.
Swatting has become a predominate act in Hollywood. Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Seacrest, Kris Jenner and Simon Cowell have also fallen victim to the fake emergency phone calls which send police and FBI racing to a celebs home where an alleged crime is taken place only to find that no such emergency exists.
A 12-year-old was recently arrested on charges of swatting Two and a Half Men's Kutcher.
