Morgan Freeman falls asleep during interview for ‘Now You See Me’

A local news station in Seattle got an amazing scoop during its interview with legend Morgan Freeman this morning but it wasn’t quite what they might have been hoping for. They found out that Freeman doesn’t get enough sleep, or at least he didn’t the night before the interview.

Q13 Fox anchors Kaci Aitchison and Bill Wixey spoke with Freeman and Michael Caine for a morning interview about their new film, Now You See Me.

While Caine was up for the task, telling the anchors about the film and how it was made, Freeman was noticeably quiet because he was dozing off. The Oscar winner closes his eyes and nods off a couple of times, although, as E! News notes, the Olympus Has Fallen actor did get to answer one question before it was over.

It’s possible that Freeman is still feeling the after effects of too many Red Bulls or maybe he thought that if Harry Belafonte could do it so could he.

Now You See Me hits theaters on May 31.
