CBS announced on Wednesday Neil Patrick Harris will host this year’s Emmy Awards.

This will be the actor’s second time hosting this award show, first being in 2009. The Emmy’s is scheduled to premiere on CBS on September 22nd. Last year, ABC hosted the show with Jimmy Kimmel hosting.

“I couldn’t be more honored and excited to be hosting this year’s Emmy Awards,” Harris said to CBS. “And what perfect timing – I’ll just do the exact same script I’m about to use for the Tonys. ‘And the Emmy for Best Revival of a Musical goes to Breaking Bad! See it works.”

Harris is also due to host, for the 4th time, the Tony Awards, airing next week on CBS, according to Deadline. He received positive reviews by critics and two Emmy’s for hosting the Tony Awards.

“Neil is the quintessential host – engaging, entertaining, and a true showman – with a passion for celebrating the medium we all love, “CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said.

With the final season of How I Meet Your Mother premiering some time in the fall, having Harris host will likely boost the comedy’s ratings.
