My son is 11 years old, so naturally he thought it was “gross”.  My wife of 16 years walked into the kitchen the other day wearing one of my Spider-man T-shirts and I told her how “sexy” I thought she looked.  Let’s not have any misconceptions; She’s the power behind the throne of this adventure.  She tolerates my comics.  She reads a few, and even admits to reading a few less than that, but she doesn't really care about them.  I don’t do cosplay at all, but my wardrobe is almost exclusively my work uniforms and my licensed T’s.  Most are comics but a handful of them are my Broncos.  So she walks in wearing one of my Spider-man T’s.  Good for me!  “Would you like me to get you some Spider-man shirts?”  “No.  I just needed something to put on real quick.”  Well I just ordered a whole bunch of new shirts for myself.  She may only be tolerating my habit but if she wants to look that good for me it only makes me feel even better about all of the passions in my life.  Either way this is a much better way to share the love than when my toddler daughter tried to help me by coloring in my Cerebus comics, which are supposed to be black and white, with a blue ballpoint pen.  Ann was worried about me blowing up because that book had been signed and sketched in by Dave Sim.  Right then was when I decided that I had chosen to have a child and it really wasn’t that bad.  As far as sharing our love of comics?  Please Ann, feel free to wear my shirts.  That’s much nicer to come home to.

So what might be worth sharing this week starts with Star Wars Legacy #3, $2.99, written by Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman, interior art by Gabriel Hardman and a cover illustration by Rachelle Rosenberg and Dave Wilkins published by Dark Horse Comics.  The first Star Wars Legacy storyline focused on Cade Skywalker and I liked that a lot.  This series is featuring Ania Solo and while I’ve been looking for Cade, I’ve also enjoyed very much the start of this new story…

DC Comics is ending an historic run with Geoff Johns last issue of Green Lantern #20, $7.99, with art by Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy.  It’s the final battle with the First Lantern and the Guardians.  Geoff’s work on Green Lantern not only reignited that book and its whole roster of companions, but affected the entire DC Universe…

Image Comics’ Bounce #1, $2.99, written by Joe Casey with art by David Messina and is sold out.   This is advertised as the ultimate slacker superhero for the 21st Century.  Jasper Jenkins is relatable AND reliable and he's embarking on the adventure of a lifetime that Image would like you all to join in on…

Daredevil #26, $3.99, is a double sized celebration of the books third year.  Produced by Mark Waid and Chris Samnee this series won the Eisner Award last year for best book of the year.  That alone has got to make it worth at least checking out…

.. And there are plenty more that are not listed. For a more complete list, feel free to visit your local comic store or favorite site. If you’re interested in more of what I think, follow me on Twitter at Mycomicstore001 or like my Facebook page.
