Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson have both moved on from their public marriage, but Lachey is talking about the divorce and his ex-father-in-law, Joe Simpson.
The 98 Degrees singer appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night, where he played “Plead the Fifth” with host Andy Cohen, TooFab reports.
Lachey, who’s now married to Vanessa Minnillo with a baby of their own, says he hasn’t spoken to the Fashion Star mentor in six years. When asked about what the best part of not having Joe as a father-in-law, he said "The best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law [is]...I don't have to play grab-ass under the table on Easter Sunday."
Before he said that, his brother Drew exclaimed Can I answer this one? Everything!" Us Weekly reports.
He was also asked if has revisited the series he shot with his ex, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. “I have not," he said.
"As you can imagine, that's not popular viewing in my house. We don't sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs."
Simpson is currently expecting her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson. She gave birth to her first, daughter Maxwell Drew, a year ago.
