So it turns out that Kate Upton wasn’t able to rearrange her schedule to go to the prom with Jake Davidson, the high school senior who asked the Sports Illustrated model out in March on YouTube. But, he got the next best thing, supermodel Nina Agdal, who also appeared in the latest SI Swimsuit Issue.
As we previously reported, Davidson sent out a plea on YouTube and Upton later said that she couldn't turn him down and she would try to rearrange her schedule.
But before Thursday night’s prom in Santa Monica, Davidson uploaded a video announcing that Danish beauty Agdal would go in Upton’s place.
Agdal and Davidson kept everyone up to date on the memorable night on social media. She posted a photo of the two on Instagram, writing “Had such a great prom night. Thank you@jakedavidson23 for being an awesome date!”
Davidston later tweeted, “@NinaAgdal you are the best! thanks so much for everything” she replied, “Thank you babe.”
“This prom has been incredible,” Davidson told The Hollywood Gossip. “Nina Agdal is like so down to earth. Really cool, really nice. It was a great day. I really enjoyed it.”
"All of my guy friends loved the choice and certainly approved, and a lot of the girls wanted to get into photos with us as well," he later told Sports Illustrated about how his friends reacted. "I would venture to say that a few heads turned when I walked in with Nina on my arm."
Davidson was definitely one lucky kid.
