Princess Eugenie, the 23 year old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, turned Beyonce’s request for her to sing with her during her Mrs. Carter Tour in London’s famed O2 area on Tuesday night.
The royal sat in one of the best seats in the house during the concert, but when Beyonce sang “Irreplaceable” and asked her to sing along with her by pointing the mic in her face, she declined.
A source told The Mirror, “It was hilarious – Eugenie was on the front row with Kate Middleton’s brother, James, and his new girlfriend, Donna Air, plus designers Matthew Williamson and Patrick Cox.”
The insider added, “She was really excitable and filming the whole thing on her iPhone like any other fan. Beyonce clearly didn’t recognize her so when it came to “Irreplaceable,” and the part where she picks on an audience member to join in with her, she simply chose the first woman she could reach.”
Princess Eugenie then turned “bright-red, ducked down” and didn’t help out the singer with the lyrics.
People reports that after the show, her friends were “teasing” her about her stage fright.
