Rachel Leigh Cook and Daniel Gillies have announced that they are expecting their first child together. While a rep for the couple has not commented, the pair took to Twitter to thank their fans for their well wishes following the exciting news.
According to People, the actress took to Twitter to thank her fans for “all the love” following the exciting news.
Her Vampire Diaries hubby also tweeted his gratitude writing, “thank you everyone. we are delighted. Xx.”
Cook and Gillies, who costarred in the 2012 film Broken Kingdom, will celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary in August.
Cook, most notable for her role in She’s All That, currently costars in the hit crime-drama Perception. In addition to Broken Kingdom, Cook can also be seen in Red Sky and High Midnight, an action thriller in which she costars alongside Elizabeth Hurley and Vincent D’Onofrio.
Gillies, who plays Elijah in The Vampire Diaries, previously took on roles in Spider-Man 2, Captivity and Bride & Prejudice.
The couple did not reveal a due date at this time.
