Raquel Pomplun has been named Playboy magazine’s Playboy Playmate of the Year.

According to E! News, the 25-year-old beauty dons the June cover of Playboy Magazine as the Playmate of the year. Fans wouldn’t know it, but Pomplun was running a 103 degree fever during her sexy photoshoot.

"Honestly, I'm thinking I'm so grateful that they look OK because I had a fever in these pictures," she exclaimed at the unveiling of the cover.

Fox News reports that Pomplun first appeared on the magazine in April 2012.

Pomplu, a biochemistry major, released a statement following the news which was bestowed upon her during a luncheon with Hugh Hefner.

The statement reads, "I can't begin to describe how excited I am to receive this honor and be given the opportunity to represent Playboy as its first Mexican-American Playmate of the Year. Playboy has taught me a side of myself I didn't know before. It's been a year of wonderful surprises!"

Pomplun will receive $100,000 in prize money, a one-year lease on a 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE.
