Chris Brown recently confirmed that he and on-off girlfriend Rihanna are no longer together.

In a radio interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show Brown, 24, said that the reason he and the “Right Now” singer, 25, broke up is because he wants to focus on himself and his career instead of “wife-ing” Rihanna.

“People have differences and people have different wants and needs. And at the end of the day, she's a young girl. I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young At the end of the day,” he explained, according to The Huffington Post. “And I'm young too. So I can't focus on that right now. I just need to fast forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be, instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket."

He added, however, that he’ll always love her.

“It's always gonna be love,” he said.

Rihanna may have hinted that there was much more to their breakup, though.

“Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain’t for kidz #butimsleeptho,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

Seemingly in response to her tweet, Brown tweeted, “Sometime[s] loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow! Be blessed. Live ya life!”
