On the latest episode of the E! reality show What Would Ryan Lochte Do? the 28 year old Olympic swimmer got dumped over the phone by his on-again, off-again girlfriend of four years.
Lochte was seen having dinner with some friends when he got a phone call from Jaimee Hollier. He went outside to talk to her and when he realized where the conversation was going, he asked the cameramen to stop following him.
"I don't know why, but there's just something in me that was saying, 'Pick it up,'” he said, Us Magazine reports. He was seen telling the cameras, "Hold on … no no no no, for real. Stop it, stop."
He later explained what that was all about, saying "There are certain things where it's not fair for her. I care about Jaimee, and I know how this conversation was gonna go, and I didn't want cameras there. I turned off the mic and started talking to her."
Due to their busy schedules, Hollier was living in London at the time that he was filming his reality show in Florida, they don’t see each other that much. That led them to see other people and ultimately decide to break up.
"One day we'll either go all in or we'll say our goodbyes," he said of the junior sales manager. "We just haven't made a decision yet."
In an interview in the May issue of Cosmopolitan, Lochte said of a potential girlfriend "I want a best friend and a lover at the same time. And I want her to make me laugh. I like someone who doesn't care what people think -- who's not afraid of making a fool out of herself."
