The film Violet and Daisy was written and directed by Geoffrey Fletcher, who wrote Precious. The film stars Saoirse Ronan (The Host) as Daisy and Alexis Bleidel as Violet and James Gandolfini as the target.
According to Slash Film,Violet and Daisy was filmed in 2010 and was picked up by Cinedigm. The film will be released in June of this year and from the trailer; the film looks visually stunning.
The basic plot revolves around Violet (Alexis Bledel) and Daisy(Saoirse Ronan). They are a pair of teenage assassins who kill major crime figures in New York Cit. The main goal of the two is to raise cash for some Barbie Sunday dresses, the duo takes on a new hit job targeting a mysterious loner(James Gandolfini).Barbie Sunday is a band the two girls enjoy. They realize that the loner is only one piece of the bigger pie. The trouble has just begun.
