Sarah Jessica Parker attended the AOL NewFronts on Tuesday, April 30 to promote her new digital series City Ballet and spoke about the possibility of a third Sex and the City movie.
The second SATC movie was released in 2010, and 48-year-old Parker thinks that a third movie is definitely doable. “I’ve been saying… there is one story left to tell. If it’s, in fact, the right time and the right place that maybe we should tell it. It would be wonderful. It’s fun to ponder," reports Extra.
However, costar Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda in the films, stated last year that she's ready for the series to end. "I think we had a wonderful ride. I think it's fine to let it go," she told the Hollywood Reporter.
For now, the actress is focusing on City Ballet, a docu-series about young ballet dancers. Of coming up with the idea for the series, she says, “When I joined the board of the New York City Ballet, I started to wonder what might be my role on the board and how could I be helpful. I realized it was about the next generation, the next group of young people who are going to make the ballet a part of their lives. I had an idea, a docu-series about them, might be interesting.”
She also says that her daughters, Marion and Tabitha, 3, have become interested in ballet as well. “My daughters love ballet. They dance all day long. They’re going to start taking proper ballet classes next year. We go to the ballet, and they pretend they're ballerinas."
City Ballet premieres this fall.
