Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs took to Twitter where he made an exciting announcement, he’ll be appearing on the hit PBS series Downton Abbey.
Huffington Post reports that the “Bad Boy for Life” singer took to Twitter Wednesday afternoon to make the announcement, but before teasing his 8.6 million followers first.
“I'm going to be making a big announcement in the next hour-im excited for yall to hear!,” he teased. “I have to admit that Downton Abbey is one of my favorite shows- and thats why Im so excited today @DowntonAbbey,” he followed only moments later.
As Diddy promised, only one hour later he followed with the exciting news, “MY BIG NEWS: So happy to announce that Im a series regular on DOWNTON ABBEY-my favorite show+i'll be debuting a sneak peek tonight 12am PST!”
The rapper turned actor followed with an Instagram shot of him on the set of Downton Abbey along with the promise of a “sneak preview tonight at 12am PST.”
Despite the exciting news, Huffington Post reached out to PBS to confirm the exciting news, but were told by a representative, “It's simply not true."
It is unclear if PBS is simply trying to hide the introduction of a new character or if Diddy was simply pulling a fast one on his followers.
