Latin beauty and new mother Shakira is said to call season 4 of The Voice her one and only. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer has confirmed that she will not return to mentor next season.
Shakira tells Access Hollywood, “I was so happy to do 'The Voice' but at the same time, I was really struggling with the fact I had to leave my nest with my little baby.”
The “Whenever, Whenever” singer welcomed her first child, Milan with boyfriend Gerard Pique in January. Milan has made his own appearance on the hit NBC competition last month.
Shakira replaced former Voice coach Christina Aguilera when she left last season to promote her new album, Lotus. Usher also took a spot on the swivel chair to replace Cee Lo Green while he too was working on his own music. Thus far it is unclear if Usher will stick around for another season.
On Tuesday, Aguilera reportedly signed a $12.5 million contract to return for season 5 while Green is still in negotiations.
