Viewers of tonight's finale of The Big Bang Theory will put Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kayley Cuocco) in a compromising position when Lenord is offered a carrer changing opportunity.

According to Washington Post, Simon Helberg, who plays Howard Wolowit, revealed inside information about the finale with Rolling Stone stating, “Howard finds Stephen Hawking’s crew is sending out an expedition to the North Sea, and he gets Leonard a job, going on a boat for four months.”

“The obstacle is Penny and Leonard have never been better,” Helberg continued. “So, is he really going to leave her for four months?”

Helberg also notes that Sheldon, Leonard's quirky roommate, also doesn't want him to go.

The cast and crew are also celebrating the renewal of the show, which will enter its seventh season this fall.

As for the finale, Helberg dishes, “There's a going away party, and without saying anything that's giving away too much, there's definitely some groundbreaking events that nobody has seen on The Big Bang Theory that will occur in this finale.”

“It's an exciting one,” he notes.

Check out the finale airing tonight on CBS.
