Taylor Swift has announced that she will be releasing a new perfume this summer. Her latest fragrance will be called Taylor, by Taylor Swift.
After the success of her first two fragrances, Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted, Swift has decided to draw away from her line of fairy tale inspired scents.
Taylor will be “a mix of a lot of things; It’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in,” Swift told People Magazine. “It’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume.”
While her first two perfumes were connected to a fairy tale like feel, Swift has admitted that her perfumes, similarly to her music, reflect time periods in her life. With the release of Taylor, the singer hopes to show off a more sophisticated and personal side to herself.
While we can’t smell the fragrance until it hits Ulta stores late this June, the bottle is something fashionable on its own. It’s unique shape and color is intended to show off Swift’s personal taste. There is even a ring of pearls around the bottle’s cap.
“Pearls are the one fashion accessory that never seems to go out of style,” Swift said. “I keep a strand in my purse and throw them on whenever I need to dress up my outfit.”
Once the new fragrance is released, fans may just want to keep a bottle with them on the go, just as Swift does with her pearls.
