Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn made their first public appearance as a couple last night at New York City’s Met Gal, but Woods reportedly embarrassed his Olympic skier girlfriend by having too much to drink.
All went well for the couple as they walked the red carpet together, but when it came time for the after party at the Boom Boom Room, on top of the Standard Hotel, Woods “looked uncomfortable” and got drunk.
A source told Us Weekly that Woods, 37, got up to awkwardly dance as Vonn, 28, laughed. But at 2am, when they were leaving the party, Woods reportedly fell while walking up the stairs and just laid there until an embarrassed looking Vonn helped him up. She walked him to the door and he didn’t seem too secure on his feet.
Vogue dressed the couple for the event, but they wouldn’t talk to reporters on the red carpet.
Back in March they confirmed their relationship in separate Facebook posts.
“Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for respecting our privacy,” Woods wrote. Vonn wrote, “I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy."
