Rocky Horror Picture Show actor Tim Curry reportedly had a stroke last week, but was noted as “recovering” and “doing just fine.” However, his rep is now stating that the alleged stroke occurred last July.

Daily Mail reported Thursday that Curry suffered a stroke in his Hollywood home. At the time of the stroke, Curry was said to have been rendered speechless. Although the details surrounding the stroke were minimal his agent, Marcia Hurwitz, told the Mail, “Tim is doing great. He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humor.”

TMZ later posted an update on their website noting that the stroke occurred nearly one year ago.

Curry is noted for being incredibly private, but it remains unclear how initial reports were started that the actor had a stroke when it fact the information is dated.

Currently the actor is rumored to lend his voice to Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars Rebels, a television series.
