Following a group of Los Angeles police officers and detectives, Southland, starring, Ben McKenzie, Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy, and Regina King was put to a final close, having the characters all say goodbye based on TNTs decision not to renew the show for a 6th season. USA Today has posted TNT's network statement:

"TNT has made the difficult decision not to renew Southland for another season. We are enormously proud of Southland, which stands as one of the best police dramas ever made. Executive producers John Wells, Chris Chulack and Jonathan Lisco, along with creator Ann Biderman and our partners at Warner Bros. Television, have given us five seasons of powerful, unforgettable storytelling, for which we are deeply grateful. We also want to thank the amazing cast for their impassioned, no-holds-barred performances, and the production team for their tenacity shooting on the streets of real-world Los Angeles."

Although this show has ended for these stars, there is still some word of them to be on some highly anticipated projects in the near future. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Regina King is said to star in ABC’s comedy Divorce: A Love Story, Shawn Hatsoy will hopefully be starring in CBS’s show Reckless, and Ben McKenzie will also be heading in the CBS route looking to showcase in the show Advocates.

Originally starting on NBC, TNT picked up the show after fear of a possible cancellation from the network in 2009. According to TV, TNT has also canceled show Go On, and Monday Mornings as well.
