After Amanda Bynes was arrested on Thursday, she appeared in court for arraignment on Friday morning and was released afterwards without bail. Now, Bynes has taken to Twitter to defend herself and her actions.

When her doorman called police Thursday night to report Bynes smoking marijuana in the lobby of her building on, officers arrived to her room on the 36th floor. When the door opened they saw a bong, which Bynes allegedly snatched and threw out her window, leading to her arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, attempted tampering with evidence and marijuana possession according to The Huffington Post.

Upon arrest, 27-year-old Bynes was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, and then a Midtown police station, and finally a precinct where she was held overnight until Friday’s arraignment. In court her attorney, Andrew Friedman said that Bynes “completely denies illegally throwing anything out of her window,” and asserted that she has never been in trouble before in New York. Meanwhile, Friedman left out that she has an open case for a DUI in Beverly Hills and a settled misdemeanor hit-and-run-case in California according to NBC New York.

Though Bynes was released from the Judge without bail, he warned that if she gets arrested, fails to show up for her next court date on July 9, or is even late to her court date, he will impose a significantly high bail. Despite this release, Bynes took to social media last night defending herself, tweeting “I only smoke tobacco I don’t drink or do drugs. I never had a bong in my life! I need to get another nose job after seeing my mugshot! :D,” according to Daily News.

As Bynes’s bizzare behavior continues, her fans, police, and the media can only help but wonder where her antics will lead next.
