Justin Bieber’s mentor Usher has come to the troubled pop star’s defense, stating the reason for Bieber’s antics is lack of privacy due to the prevalence of social media.

Usher sat down with Ellen DeGeneres this week and spot about the many allegations flying around the rapper’s protégé, Bieber. The “Beauty and the Beat” singer has recently been accused of pot smoking, reckless driving, and spitting on a neighbor.

Bieber’s R&B mentor says he believes the young star still has plenty of time to “mature,” but he finds that this day and age makes growing difficult.

"There is no privacy," Usher says of this era of social media, as reported by The Hollywood Gossip, “It's a challenge when that kind of trial and elimination period is kind of done in front of a camera."

Usher is hopefully for Bieber’s future saying, "I don't look at [Bieber’s behavior] as a negative, though. I look at it as a teenager. A teenager having to live his life in front of a camera. Imagine if you had to do that as a teenager."

TMZ reports that Bieber is claiming he is “being framed” in the two criminal investigations against him. The first stems from a run-in Bieber had with a neighbor after the neighbor confronted the singer about his wreckless driving. Bieber allegedly spit in the man’s face and threatened to kill him.

The second investigation comes in the wake of Bieber’s wild Memorial Day party, during which the singer raced his Ferrari down the streets of his community. As previously reported by The Celebrity Café , Keyshawn Johnson, former Carolina Panthers receiver, chased Bieber down in his Prius, and attempted to verbally confront the singer about endangering himself and others while driving irresponsibly.

Sources from Bieber’s camp as well as witnesses of both incidents deny Bieber’s involvement, saying he did not spit and he was not behind the wheel.
