The Lonely Island Band and Zach Galifianakas' Between Two Ferns segments have produced their respective viral videos before. But today, the two released a combined video/music video celebrating binge drinking with hot babes as well as two men getting married in fashion. It doesn't make sense until you watch it.
It probably still doesn't make much sense. But it's definitely the next viral video, with nearly 400,000 views within 20 hours. It posted on the Lonely Island Youtube page and promotes their upcoming album, The Wack Album, to be released on June 11th. The Lonely Island's most viewed video is the music video to I Just Had Sex with just under 200 million views.
The Rolling Stone reports that the video is the first in a series of Wack Wednesday releases by the band in order to build hype for their upcoming album.
Galifianakas' Between Two Ferns is a more subdued approach to comedy with a much smaller audience. The most viewed episode of that series features Natalie Portman and has just over 5 million views on Youtube. Galifianikis is on a bit of a media hype, having hosted Saturday Night Live last weekend. E! Online reports that The Hangover 3, featuring Galifianakas just got bumped up a day on its release to May 23rd in order to grab more of the holiday weekend viewers.
