This was awkward. While covering the Moore, Oklahoma tornado Tuesday, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer asked a survivor if she had to thank the Lord that she and her toddler survived. The only problem is that she is an atheist.

Rebecca Vitsmun was interviewed after she and her 19-month-old son escaped from her house just as the tornado approached.

“We're happy you're here. You guys did a great job,” Blitzer told her, reports The Huffington Post. “You've gotta thank the Lord, right? Do you thank the Lord for that split-second decision?”

Vitsum hesitated for a second and laughed, telling Blitzer, “I -- I'm actually an atheist.”

Blitzer replied, “You are. All right. But you made the right call.”

“We are here, and I don't blame anyone for thanking the Lord,” Vitsum said.

Meanwhile, the efforts in Moore are turning to cleaning up and rebuilding. According to The Washington Post, officials have said that the final number of fatalities is at 24, including 10 children. Of those 10, two were infants.
