Zach Galifianakis proved to be a excellent Saturday Night Live host, not surprisingly since it was his third time at the helm.
The comedian kept viewers amused with his offbeat humor and witty one liners, according to E!.
“I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving,” the 43-year-old actor/comedian told the audience as he opened his monologue.
Although EW claims his monologue was not quite as good as the last time, he kept the audience on their toes with one off humor, jumping topics from The Hangover to Craigslist and settling down at the piano for a spell.
The host appeared in numerous sketches, including a Game of Thrones themed game show. Playing an overenthusiastic fan, a dragon donning Galifianakis finds himself on the receiving end of every question not pertaining to the series.
However, the highlight of the night can be found it what Rolling Stone claims may be one of the best sketches of the season. The comedian plays an M&M store greeter, Racist Jim, who repeatedly fails when trying to apologize for his incredibly racist comments the day before. While his ignorant character stereotypes a lengthy list of ethnicities and genders, the rest of the cast reacts in disgust and confusion.
Galifianakis rounded out the night with a little help from Hangover co-stars Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms as they beat him in a Jennifer Aniston Look-alike contest.
The actor seems to have secured himself another hosting spot in the future.
