Star Trek actress Zoe Saldana covers the June issue of InStyle UK, where she opens up about not giving up on love and aging in Hollywood.
Although 34-year-old Saldana is by no means old and looks better than ever, she revealed that she gets reminded of her age quite often in the business. "I’ve been told by producers, 'Well, you know we need to get on this because you’re not getting any younger… Women are reminded of their age all the time," reports InStyle.
However, the actress doesn't let the comments get to her. "It’s usually by a fricking fat, big-bellied old man with a comb-over and you look at him and you’re like, 'Really? Give me a break. You just have more money and more power in this situation than I do, but not in my life.'"
Saldana also revealed that although she has been unlucky in love in the past, she's not giving up hope. She called off her engagement to Keith Britton in 2011 after 11 years of dating, and then dated her The Words costar Bradley Cooper for about a year before they broke up in January of this year.
Saldana says, "I believe in love because I had it for so long, so I know it’s possible. I’m not one of these people who’s going, 'Oh, because I was with someone for so long I need to take a break.' What if love is just around the corner?"
Of the kind of guy she is looking for, she joked, "A badass renegade! A pirate! A pirate who can cry. Oh my god!"
