Jimmy Fallon is bringing long time Late Night writer Amy Ozols with him when he takes over The Tonight Show in 2014. NBC said today that she will produce the late night talk show.

Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, who will be executive producer for The Tonight Show, said in a statement that Ozols has worked with Fallon since Late Night started. “She is brilliant,” Michaels said about the Harvard Law School graduate. “I think she is the right choice to lead ‘The Tonight Show’ into the future.”

“It’s been so fun working with Amy these past four years — she's been a standout writer and producer since we started Late Night,” Fallon said. “She puts so much thought and care into everything she does and we share the same vision about making the best television that we can produce. I know she'll put that same intelligence, cleverness and care into The Tonight Show. This is exciting.”

Ozols has been working with Fallon since Late Night premiered in 2009. She also wrote Fallon’s opening monologue for the 2010 Emmy Awards and is behind his hilarious parodies, including the recent Game of Desks.

Fallon officially got the Tonight Show gig in April and will take over the show in Spring 2014. The transition from Jay Leno to Fallon will be heavily promoted on NBC during the Winter Olympics.

Seth Meyers is replacing Fallon on Late Night.
