Just like in Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn’s upcoming movie, The Internship, the real-life friends didn’t always have their ideal jobs. From working as a pool boy, to a YMCA lifeguard, to eventually becoming A-list Hollywood actors, Vaughn and Wilson definitely had their laughs about working these jobs and being fired.
“I was fired as a pool cleaner and a waiter,” Wilson told Yahoo!. “They thought I was just doing the backstroke but I was actually getting in there and getting in between those tiles.”
Vaughn weighed in saying that he was fired as a lifeguard at the YMCA because he was late too many times. “I learned a hard lesson. Busted lock 9-5.”
Now, the reunited Wedding Crashers Stars are also new and proud fathers. E! News reports that while filming The Internship, they swapped pictures of their kids while they were on set. At least now they’re setting good examples for their children!
The Internship, which hits theaters Friday, June 7, is a comedy about two grown men who take on an internship at Google, where of course, Vaughn and Wilson are thrown into hilarious situations. Vaughn co-wrote and produced the film alongside Shawn Levy.
